NAME: VICTORIA BRADY

Instagram handle: @Vickinosecrets

Do you have a product or company you own that you would like us to promote?

Yes! I own Glow & Grow Fitness (www.glowandgrowfitness.com) for online personal training & coaching. I also have a marketing & design business called Glow & Grow Marketing (www.glowandgrowmarketing.com).

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

My name is Victoria, but I also go by Vicki! After spending my entire life overweight and being told I would not be able to have kids on my own as a result of my Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis, I became a mom to TWO boys & I FINALLY overcame my battle with obesity after I saw the impact my unhealthy lifestyle was making on my sons. I embarked on a journey of rediscovery by educating myself on how to live a healthier life. As a result, I lost 130 lbs in a little over a year strictly through diet, exercise and FAITH. As a certified personal trainer & weight loss coach, I aim to educate, motivate, and uplift those seeking to live a healthier & happier life!

What are the other titles you give yourself besides mom?

Marketing Strategist, Glow-getter

How many children do you have? Tell us a little bit about them.

I have 2 boys. Their names are Corey (5 years old) and Christian (4 years old) & they are 11 months apart in age. They are in the same grade and while they tend to fight all the time, they are the best of friends! Corey loves superheroes & dinosaurs while Christian is more strategic & loves doing puzzles.

Define motherhood in your own words.

Motherhood is the most selfless but rewarding job that you can have. You not only sacrifice your body to have them but you dedicate all of your energy & time to your kids with no guarantee that you will get that same energy or time back...HOWEVER, the greatest reward you receive is the unconditional love you receive.

What advice can you give our MOM SQUAD?

Self-care is so important for your mental health. When you’re not right, mind, body or soul, then you can’t be the best mom you can be. So, spend at least 1-hour a day for yourself, whether it’s in a warm bath at night, getting a quick yoga session in, or just reading a book.

What’s the best advice you ever received on motherhood?

Don’t feel guilty for taking breaks. Just as much as moms need breaks, kids need them from their mom as well!

What are your biggest fears or insecurities as a mother?

Not feeling like I’m doing a good job as a mom. Ultimately, my biggest fear is that I will fail my boys. I want to be an example they can look up to and have a legacy that they are proud of.

What surprised you about being a new or seasoned mom?

How much patience is really needed to make it through that first year lol. I learned that I had more patience than I originally thought I had.

What inspired, or life moment happened that made you want to share your story and your life with other mothers?

The moment when my son was in the 95th percentile for his weight at a year and a half years old. I saw the cycle repeating itself again and knew I had to make a change for myself if my sons were going to have better. At that moment, I decided to take on living a healthier and active lifestyle which led me to lose 130 pounds. This journey encouraged me to share my progress and story with other moms to show them that even though you have kids, you don’t have to lose your body or yourself! You can still achieve your goals regardless of anything standing in your way.

What is the biggest/loudest message you want other mothers to take away from your story/message?

Nothing is impossible unless you make it impossible!

Join us on the MOMSQUAD Instagram on Saturday, September 26th @ 9:00am PST/12:00pm EST for a HITT & Abs workout with Victoria!
