Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother’s Day!
This is my 12th year celebrating the joy of motherhood, the good the bad and the crazy. Nothing brings me more joy, fulfillment and a sense of purpose like raising the awesome human I am proud to call my daughter. It’s also the celebration of MOMSQUAD, I launched this brand Mother’s Day 2020, so a lot to be joyful about today.
This is my first Mother’s Day not celebrating my mom. Mother’s Day was a BIG day in our house growing up and as my brother and I became adults and had our own families it became a bigger deal for us to celebrate her, pay homage to our mom…..so this year it’s been, well sad and weird to be without her. I have been sad and honestly just not myself. My heart goes out to all the women who have lost their moms, it’s not easy to navigate this motherhood journey alone.
There’s joy in the memories, the stories I now tell my daughter. There’s a lot of laughter and smiles when a memory pops up in my mind. So many times as a new parent I would make a face or visibly cringe when my mom would give me advice and she would say: Oh, how did you ever live……so true, I was so nervous as a new mom, that anything my mom suggested that I didn’t read in a parenting book was well crazy in my opinion.

I have to say, it’s fun to remember. I remember the good, the somewhat outrageous parts of my mom.
Happy Mother’s Day everyone, I hope this day and this year is filled with joy and love.
